Meet Dr. Greg Friedman
Born and raised in San Diego, Dr. Friedman attended Serra High School and San Diego State University. In 1989, he completed his lifelong dream of becoming a dentist at Washington University's School of Dental Medicine. He followed his degree with a one-year General Practice residency at the world-renowned Barnes Jewish Medical center in St. Louis.
After entering private practice in 1990 in Pacific Beach, he opened a state-of-the-art dental office at Scripps Ranch in 1997. While offering general family dental care to his home community, Dr. Friedman's passion is for creating smiles. He has taken extensive continuing education in orthodontics, TMJ, veneers, and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Friedman is currently involved in the accreditation program with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. The AACD is the leading cosmetic dental association in the world and provides cutting-edge continuing education for dentists focused on cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Friedman is also involved in the American Academy of Functional Orthodontists and is an advocate of early orthodontic intervention to improve growth development.
Dr. Friedman has three boys – Brandon, Brent, and Blake. When not in the office, the Friedmans are riding motorcycles in the desert or attending a hockey game. Dr. Friedman has been the varsity roller hockey coach for Scripps Ranch High for nine years and coaches for a local club, the San Diego Jr. Gulls.
