Dr. Tina Beck, Periodontist
Dr. Beck is a periodontist specializing in the treatment of perodontal disease and dental implants. As a native San Diegan, she grew up in the unincorporated community of Rancho San Diego and is an alumnus of Valhalla High School in El Cajon. She graduated from University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor's degree in biology and a minor in art history. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of California, Los Angeles and specialty training in Periodontics and Implantology at the University of Texas Health Science Center (Hook 'em Horns) at San Antonio while also earning a Masters's degree in biomedical Sciences. As a resident, Dr. Beck was awarded the prestigious John F. Prichard Prize for Graduate Research for her research. A formal scientific discussion of her work was published December 2010 in the Journal of Periodontoloy.
Dr. Beck is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, California Society of Periodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the San Diego County Dental Society.
Jessica, Office Manager
Jessica joined the Mod Squad in 2009 as the Office Manager. Jessica is originally from Louisiana, (Geaux Saints), and has accumulated over 10 years in the dental field in the many different aspects of the practice. After taking a break from dentistry to create, own, and operate a clothing boutique in Texas, Jessica utilizes all her customer service knowledge to stay abreast of the latest in dental technology both general and cosmetic. "My number one priority is that all of our patients are taken care of with the highest level of care and customer service. Our greatest compliment is a referral of a family member or friend from our existing patients."
Jessica enjoys spending quality time with her two boys, Gavin and Zachary and lots of football on the weekends.
Wanda, RDH
Like many San Diegans, Wanda relocated to San Diego from the cold, north shore of Massachusetts. She enjoys Southern California's sunshine and laid-back nature.
MOD Squad is lucky to have her. With 20+ years of dental hygiene experience, Wanda combines clinical excellence with extraordinary customer service to create a fun, compassionate, top notch, and powerful dental environment. She is currently inventing a product that will detect specific periodontal pathogens, helping deter gum disease. She develops her leadership and self-expression skills with focused continuing education and her passions are boxing and life coaching. Wanda's family includes her fun and smart soul-mate, Rick; Jace, her intelligent and athletic nine-years-old son; and Kirby, the Jack Russell wonder-dog.
Judith, Business Administrator
Judith is a new addition to the Mod Squad and Dr. Friedman and the team could not be more thrilled. Judith has been affiliated with dentistry for over eight years. She is the first smiling face that will greet you when you enter the practice, and she offers her expertise with any questions concerning insurance benefits or offered dental procedures.
Judith enjoys hanging out with family and friends and surfing anytime the sun is up!!
Michelle, RDH
Michelle, originally from California, is the newest member to the Mod Squad. Michelle grew up and attended hygiene school in Oregon (Go Ducks) and is thrilled to be back in sunny San Diego. Michelle has been practicing dentistry for 9 years starting as a dental assistant and furthering her profession as a dental hygienist. “I love the relationships I build with my patients. Giving my patients a relaxing perspective of the dental chair brings a smile to my face every day.”
In Michelle's spare time she enjoys anything outdoors from running, surfing, snow boarding, and especially taking her dog, Daisy, to dog beach.
Kaylyn, 
RDA
Kaylyn will be the one that sits next to you when you are getting your dentistry done with Dr. Friedman. Whether she is offering a blanket, noise cancellation headphones, or simply being entertained by your summer vacation stories, you can always count on a friendly smile.
Kaylyn enjoys chilling at the beach and playing a little B-ball. Kaylyn has been living in San Diego for three years and aspires to attend hygiene school.
Michelle, Patient Concierge 
Michelle will be sitting next to you when getting your treatment with Dr. Friedman. She loves to help the patients feel at home and comfortable when getting their dentistry done. Michelle has been affiliated with dentistry for the past 5 years and enjoys learning new dental techniques and procedures utilizing the lastest in advanced dental equipment.
When not in the office, Michelle enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Mike, and her puppies, Smokey and Hunter.
